Breaking Mariners news... on THE SOUND! Who would have thought :)
In equally exciting news, the Reds signed Kent Mercker to a minor league contract.
Mercker last pitched for the Reds in 2006 and more recently, his name appeared on the Mitchell Report.
Why the hell would anyone sign anyone whose name is even in the vicinity of the Mitchell Report? Let alone Mercker? Doesn't matter anyway, he's just there for competition. He won't be making the team.
