Andy Warhol's Pete Rose


The Cincinnati Art Museum is set to release a limited edition poster featuring a portrait of Pete Rose by American pop artist Andy Warhol. The poster will be unveiled to the public tonight, Wednesday, July 30 at the Cincinnati Art Museum; all proceeds from the sales benefit the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund. These posters will be a limited edition of 1000 costing $50 each. 114 of them will be signed by Pete Rose himself with those costing $500. You can read more at cincinnatiartmuseum.org.

Thanks for posting this! I meant to a week or so ago when I heard about it.

Warhol's Pete is one of my favorite pieces. It brings together so much for me: Warhol, baseball, baseball cards, Pete Rose, Cincinnati, etc.

I contemplated picking up the $500 LE print that will be singed by Rose. I'll have to pass...

yeah i came across it last night and was surprised you hadn't mentioned it yet on here. i figured you'd be all of it. the signed print would be nice, but with the $500 price tag, I too will have to pass.

yeah, it's a hefty price... but something i figured would be of certainly greater value in years to come. i wouldn't get it to just invest though... i really love the print and would find a place to hang it up and enjoy it.

Yeah it certainly would be a great to hang one of these in the house as well as a nice investment.

I wonder how they're printing these? Are they screenprinted? I couldn't find any info on that.
