Who has the guts?

We're the Reds! Reds Hot!

Break out yer tapes, folks

2010 is the 20th Anniversary the Reds’ last World Championship. Of course, the Reds and Cincinnati have tons and tons of stuff happening to honor the 1990 World Series winners. The Reds Hall of Fame & Museum will open its 1990 Exhibit on March 25. There’s a commemorative bottle of booze to get your hands (or lips) on. Chris Sabo bobbleheads abound. Even more things are coming down the pipe.

One little nugget from that season that is always worth recapping is the world famous “Reds Hot”. A direct nod to the bad “team rap genre” that the ’85 Bears started with the Super Bowl Shuffle, the 1990 Reds put together a hip-hop tune for the ages.

This begs the question: Does anyone on the current Reds roster have the OMLBs to use this as their walkup song?

“Hatch in the outfield running down shots
Fly balls, line drives, they gotta be caught!”

Serious hat-tipping to Red Reporter on the Tweets
