Heads up that the official dedication of The Banks Mural is Tuesday, September 20. We posted a few progress pics back in June of mural and we’re excited for the dedication. More excited for this than say, Toby Keith’s bar, “Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill” which is um… not open.
Alright, here’s the good word from the fine folks at the ArtWorks, the Taft Museum of Art and Carter…
Come Celebrate with Us!
The Banks Mural Dedication
Please join ArtWorks, the Taft Museum of Art, and Carter as we dedicate the Banks Mural!
The boy in the Taft Museum of Art’s painting The Cobbler’s Apprentice by Frank Duveneck has put away his cigar and shoemaking supplies in exchange for a baseball bat in the mural located in Cincinnati’s new downtown neighborhood, The Banks. ArtWorks’ young Apprentice Artists have also put down their painting supplies after working hard on this mural and we want to celebrate their success with them!
Join us before the Reds vs. Astros game for our ceremony, some refreshments, baseball players from the Cincinnati Red Stockings, and an appearance from a very special guest!
