That’s right, folks! 2013 marks the year that Frisch’s finally flips hamburgers inside Great American Ball Park. Judging by the reaction on Twitter when we posted the first picture of Frisch’s GABP presence, you’re pretty darn excited as well.
Frisch’s will have two stands at the ballpark in sections 119 and 131, respectively. In addition to the stands, an iconic Big Boy statue will also have its spot at the yard. Customized with a Reds ballcap and vintage 70’s uniform with the number 46 (As in 1946, the year Frisch’s served up its first Big Boy Sandwich), the statue will add a touch of whimsy to the ballpark and might give the soon to be added Joe Morgan statue a run for its money. The location of the statue is still to be determined as of this post.
Check out the menu for the new GABP Frisch’s stands. No crushed ice, Vanilla Cokes or a salad bar, but a Big Boy, fries and a frosty brew sounds pretty good to us. By the way, this is the first time in the history of man that you’ll be able to order a beer with your Big Boy sandwich. Now, that is cool.
