Jim Maloney and Tom Bronwing Reds Hall of Fame Meet & Greet
Reds Hall of Fame & Museum // Saturday, 6/15/2013 – 1:30pm to 3:30pm
As part of the 75th anniversary celebration of Johnny Vander Meer’s back-to-back no-hitters, fans can meet and take pictures with Reds Hall of Famer pitchers Jim Maloney and Tom Browning on Saturday, June 15 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. With two no-hitters to his credit, Maloney is the only other pitcher besides Vander Meer to throw more than one no-hitter in a Reds uniform. His first was on August 19, 1965 and the second came four seasons later on April 30, 1969. Known as “Mr. Perfect,” Browning tossed the only perfect game in Reds history on Sept. 16, 1988. The meet and greet is free with admission to the Reds Hall of Fame. No autographs, please.

In 100 Things Reds Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die, Mr. Luckhaupt has assembled he facts, traditions, and achievements sure to educate and entertain true fans. In this book, Reds fans will discover the remarkable people, places, and events that celebrate their team. Copies of 100 Things Reds Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die are available for sale at the Reds Hall of Fame Gift Shop. The signing is free with admission to the museum.

Johnny Edwards & Jim Maloney Reds Hall of Fame Signature Series Autograph Signing

Meet and receive autographs from Gold Glove catcher Johnny Edwards and Reds Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Maloney at the Reds Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 6 from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM. A Red from 1961-1967, Edwards was the Reds’ leading hitter in the 1961 World Series, won Gold Gloves in 1963 and 1964 and was an All-Star each season from 1963-1965. With two no-hitters to his credit, Maloney is one of only two pitchers in Reds history to throw more than one no-hitter in a Reds uniform (Johnny Vander Meer is the other) and is the club’s all-time leader in career strikeouts. Edwards caught Maloney’s first no-hitter, a 10-inning shutout of the Cubs on August 19, 1965. The autograph signing is free with admission to the Reds Hall of Fame. Limit one autograph per player per visitor.

The Reds Hall of Fame Baseball Brunch Series is your exclusive opportunity to interact with a Reds Hall of Famer or Reds Alumni on select Sundays throughout the 2013 season. Enjoy a brunch buffet in the Riverfront Club and listen as former Reds take center stage to recount their most memorable moments in Cincinnati. Each Reds Hall of Fame Baseball Brunch ticket includes a brunch buffet in the Riverfront Club at Great American Ball Park, a special program featuring discussion with a Reds Hall of Famer or Reds Alumni, a commemorative autographed item, a Field Box ticket to that day’s Reds game and a ticket to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum.
