Redsfest 2009
Sunday, December 6th, 2009At the World Series
Sunday, November 1st, 2009We were in Philly for Game 3 of the 2009 World Series – but without a ticket. Still managed to have a good time though. Here are some photos for ya…

Seriously, aside a special guest of the MLB or something, who would wear this jacket? We saw a few folks wearing them outside the ballpark. Like, where else on earth do you were that thing?

Fox and their marketing machine had "Glee" crap everywhere. I guess they sang the National Anthem before the game? Whatever. We hope that got rained on.
We were in Philly for the Pearl Jam show across the street from Citizen’s Bank Ballpark at The Spectrum. It also happened to be the LAST EVENT EVER at the fabled arena before they eventually tear it down.
The World Series, Pearl Jam, and The Flyers all happening that night on the same block! Add in Halloween and you have a hell of a night in Philly.

Batting tips from George Foster
Saturday, September 26th, 2009This was definitely the highlight of the All-Access Baseball Experience! Yes, George was giving people a hard time – as he’s known to do – but the new manager of the Lake County Black Bears of the new Florida Winter Baseball League was also offering some legit batting tips (to folks of all skill levels) and basically giving participants a great hitting clinic (at no additional charge). It’s just not every day that you can get a former National League MVP to watch you swing the bat a dozen times (pitching machine was set to about 60 mph) and tell you what you’re doing right or wrong. He really seemed like he enjoyed being there and interacting with people and he’s about as personable as they come as far as former Reds greats (Lee May is right up there too
And George even showed up at the Reds Hall at the conclusion of the afternoon to sign anything anyone brought and take pictures. Class act.

Saturday, September 26th, 2009Participants got to wing it in there to catcher Doug Rowe, and they had the gun to let us know how hard we were throwing (and you even won a prize if you guessed right on your last pitch, just like Kings Island)
