Gary

Gary Majewski warming up before coming in after the rain delay. I'm sure it bugs the hell out of pitchers, but it's pretty cool for fans that the bleachers are right above the bullpen. No one gave the Reds pitchers hell while we were there and a few Reds tossed balls up to kids from time to time.

The "Helmet Cup"

No helmet sundaes here at Yankee Stadium, at least not out here in the bleachers. Out here, they are called "helmet cups" where you get a helmet and ice cream, and that is about it. I felt pretty lucky to get sprinkles.
So, since we were out in the bleachers, I felt I missed out on all that Yankee Stadium had to offer. Like Wrigley Field in Chicago, the bleachers at Yankee Stadium have their own entrance and the rest of the stadium is not accessible. The food and merchandise seemed pretty bare bones out there. I imagine it was a little better in the main part of the stadium.
We did end up going to the Yankee Team store behind home plate after the game, but that was the only experience other than the bleachers. Don't worry, we didn't pick up much. Just a Yankee Stadium magnet - like the players are wearing on their sleeves and a program.

They're EVERYWHERE

Damn Cubs fans! I swear - every major league ballpark I have ever been to - I've seen someone in Cubs gear. East coast, west coast, it doesn't matter. Them and the Red Sox... they are everywhere. Reds fans - you gotta represent!
